I’m leaving my huge room (~30m) in a wonderful apartment. The room is so big, I’ve been using it as a bedroom, living room and home office. I’m looking for someone to take over the lease and, ideally, buy all or most of my furniture. There is one roommate in the apartment: Chaz, a nice, easy-going American oleh who is quiet and neat.
rent: 2,050 NIS per month, not including taxes or utilities
recently renovated
the landlord is the. best. landlord I've ever had -- he's super chill and always pays for repairs without argument
roof access
high ceilings, lots of natural sunlight
a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows in the room
air conditioning/ heating
Some people worry about the neighborhood, but they shouldn't. I'm a small lady and I lived here for three years and it was always fine. The neighbors and local store owners are friendly. There's also a lovely community garden down the street which sometimes has music performances, and in the past year or so a lot of new cultural events have been held around the neighborhood. The apartment is on one of the nicest streets in the neighborhood, and it's just a 5 minute walk from the central bus station, so it's easy to get around even on shabbat. Also, there's amazing ethnic food all around, and you can meet people from so many different cultures. The neighborhood is really starting to gentrify and it's definitely the next Florentin -- just with better public transportation!
