the house is situated in a beautiful 25 acre tropical dry evergreen forest, secluded from the frenetic indian cities. adjacent to the house is a horse coral, a swimming pool and a fruit orchard. the house is situated within a community of 3 families with children. we are not connected to the main electricity grid of india, water is pumped from a bore well with a solar pump. electricity is from solar panels. the community houses a bakery, which utilizes a wood-fire oven. the house is very open, yet well screened and private. the house is fully equipped, with telephone, internet facilities etc. this community, evergreen, is situated in the centre of the wider community of auroville, an international community with more than 2000 inhabitants, among which there are about 50 israelis that are permanent residents. the facilities include the help of a local housekeeper and the use of our motorbike for transportation in and around the community.
